But the area which i want to focus is different…well while it’s not anymore a  news that the recession has taken its toll on every possible category.. but it will be interesting to note how has it affected the guys who afforded to be in love or in a romantic relationship in their lives before recession…The BIG Question is …Do they still manage to hold on to that special person even after the recession!!!

Yes when things go bad…there is a crazy chain reaction that starts and even before people thought how on earth can a bank failing in far US turn their romantic relation sour…the chain reaction did its work and their they were…out of job, out of money, frustrated and out of a relation too!!!

A relation has its own needs (I am still to find someone who knows all the ingredients in the correct proportion!!) and among a lot of other things that makes a relation tick, peace of mind is an important requirement and the recession ensured that you have none of it what so ever…so it led to all that erratic behaviour one associates with a mind that is not at peace with itself…you got angry too fast , you talked negative, looked lost and that you had no money in your pocket you surely didn’t help…A truly Scary situation!!!

So no fancy candle lit dinners, no romantic long drives, no discos, less movies together, lesser hours spent over phone and even lesser surprise gifts (that once earned you a tight hug or a loving kiss of your loved one)…all resulting in less quality time spent together and you can sense relation is heading towards a rough patch.This has roughly been the story of many love stories all around…but when you think it’s all getting predictable the human spirit surprises you yet again… and we hear stories of people falling in love and being in love despite the difficulties thrown in by recession…Proving once again for a billionth time that between Spirit and Situation it’s Spirit that prevails.

Kudos to all of you who have manged to steer their relations out of these truly troubled times!!! I am sure the bond must have only become stronger…

So Dude thousand salutes to you if you are still holding that hand… !!!

The event that is forcing me to write today is related to a sports performance – Cricket to be specific…Well it is undoubtedly the most covered and (over)talked  sport in India…but we can’t escape from the fact that we have an inherent liking for this addictive game..and yes it is my favourite game too…and may be that is the reason that i learn many lessons of my life from it(I really Do!!!).

I will be writing here about the innings played by Sachin in the 5th ODI(Hero Honda Cup 2009) between India and Australia in Hyderabad.It is not the case that i haven’t seen sachin playing so well before but what amazed me is little deeper than what meets the eye.

Australia set up a mammoth total of 350 in 50 overs for Indian team to chase.350 …did i say!!!

Well just the sound of the score too intimidating and the chasing team starts thinking of how much will be a honourable defeat…even as a audience who have some unrealistic expectations at times you feel it is beyond the reach.We too have such situations in our lives everyday when we face a situation which seems unsurmountable …but that is exactly where the magic begins…A short man walks in the ground amid cheers that threaten to bring the stadium down and an excitement that is simply unmatched and inexplicable. We have seen him walking into the stadium to begin the fight for the country for about twenty years now…but are we bored of it?? No waysss…Infact the excitement increases every single time as we see our excitement reflected back from the Great man..Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar.  The passion with which he plays the game is unfathomable and worth imitating in our lives in whatever we may be doing.

He lives his passion.It shows on his face all the time.That childlike Innocent happiness every time things go india’s way tells it all…and that disaapointment when ever we lose a close game.The best thing is his insatiable hunger which keeps him excited for his game day after day and is simply unbelievable.Even if we can have some part of that in our chosen field we would be many times more efficient.Most importantly it is about loving what one is doing and Sachin shows us how to do it year after year with a focus and determination that is out of the world!!

The man is an institution in himself…an icon worth following and a man worth emulating.

So people borrow heavily from the qualities of this man and get ready to be outstanding in your chosen Line of Activity.Cheers to Him and Happy Success to you all!!!

Lying on the bed, these questions are knocking on my head and I am relying on my heart to provide me the answers…and the answers do come, giving me an immense amount of peace and relief.

This was the day I got life and thus this day brought happiness to my parents and Family. After that each year when this day came, more and more people who have been associated to me have become a part of it.

When they are excited, when they are happy and when they wait for this date I am amazed by their love and affection. It is this happiness…the happiness of my parents, my family and my dear friends that gets reflected in me. It is their happiness that runs through me and it is their emotions which makes this day special for me.

I thus take this day as an opportunity to thank all of them for their selfless Love…which I would never be able to pay back ever.

I also take this day to make a promise to myself to work harder to make my parents happier and my friends too in every way I possibly can in the times to come.

God has been extremely kind to me to give me such wonderful parents, great life and such loving buddies. I can’t thank him enough for this.

I seek blessings from almighty GOD as his child to give me strength and capability so that I take the right path in future and can be of help to as many people as I can.

Forgive me god for all my mistakes that I have committed both intentional and unintentional and I here…sincerely apologise to all my friends whom I may have hurt in any way whatsoever.

Being a student of Finance this term assumes all the more relevance for me not only as a subject of interest but also due to its direct impact on my job prospects. What i have found interesting is that although all my colleagues and friends from my institute and in other institutes identify this phenomenon and have a lot of data on this but amazingly most of them do not accept it inside their hearts…they still have the same thoughts that they had before joining this MBA course. They still compare their success with the profiles and packages their senior batches have got even after all these news being read and also presented by them in different ways almost every day!

They are not able to accept that these are different times and thus the mental make-up and also related strategies there-by needs to change here too. Big companies and financial Institutions are falling apart all around them but they still are in a denial mode and are hoping for the similar conditions as one or two years before.

The idea here is to try harder than what their seniors may have done and also be a lot more flexible in accepting what the current scenario has to offer them because in any case this is a temporary phase and things will look up sooner than later. But waiting for things to be fine is not a wise thing to do…so grab the best among the available opportunities that comes your way and get started…Recession will die its natural death and you WILL get “your thing” surely tomorrow if not today.

So wear that fabulous smile of yours and start working towards it.
